Nowadays, the possibilities of using Building Information Modeling (BIM) are increasing,
its application plays a significant role in the architecture, engineering, and construction industry. The aim of our research is to explore how BIM methodology can be used as a decision support tool in conceptual architectural design. In this context, we have collected data resources that can be integrated into the BIM workflow in order to apply them throughout the entire life cycle of a project. Then, we examined their practical application on the example of a sport hall designed by us. By taking advantage of the data integrated in the model and openBIM, we analysed and compared two alternative coverage of the sport hall, mainly from the point of view of construction. In addition to
the comparisons, we created a BIM-based construction organisation video, for which a coding structure was developed and applied on our building.
