RESULTS OF THE DIPLOMA PRIZE COMPETITION OF CONSTRUCTION SCIENCE ASSOCIATION

Abstract

The announcement of the results of the 2021- 2022 ÉTE Diploma Prize competition took place in a festive setting. The competition has been transformed several times over the years, and took its current form in 2018, based on which anyone who has obtained a degree in a field related to the construction industry can start the open, secret competition. The application was conducted entirely digitally. The jury primarily evaluated the technical solutions and content of the diploma works. Based on the jury’s decision, four applicants were commended, one received a special prize, and one was awarded the prize. Balázs Uhrinyi, the secretary general of our Association, handed over the prizes and commendations to the winners. We would also like to thank the Óbuda Group and Laterex Építő Zrt for financing the prizes, and to Decorfloor Kft. for offering the professional study trip to Italy. Bátor Levente Kovács won the diploma prize – a 150,000 Ft prize offered by the Óbuda Group and a three-day professional trip to Italy offered by Decorfloor Kft. – with his diploma project entitled “Reed restoration and protection center”.
Balázs Fürtön’s diploma project entitled „Emmanuel Lévinas Philosophical Center” received a special prize with 50,000 Ft offered
by Laterex Építő Zrt.
The diploma projects of Árpád Bíró entitled „Shelter in Hargitafürdő”, András Csiha’s „Information and Knowledge Storage Center” and Gábor Lekics’s „Examination of the energy balance of brownfield investment using
life cycle analysis” received praise.
