WINE CELLARS IN THE MÓR WINE REGION THEN AND TODAY

Abstract

During my university years, I represented my hometown, Mór, and the Mór wine region as Mór Wine Queen for two years. In my thesis,
I therefore examined wine cellars with the
eyes of an architect, connecting my studies with my personal life. The visits to the cellars confirmed in me that the existence and survival of these cellars is important. In my research,
I specifically focused on the cellars of Mór,
but I also examined some other domestic cellars and cellar lines. I collected a lot of useful information about wine cellars, so in addition to comparing and organizing, I also developed a general picture. The preservation and renovation of wine cellars raises questions in several settlements. During my research, beyond documenting the cellars, I searched for the answer to the important question of how a wine cellar can be utilized nowadays, if we no longer want to use it as a wine storage.
