The palace quarter of Veszprém represents an outstanding ensemble of Hungary’s built heritage, holding significant historical, urban, and architectural value. The structural systems of its buildings evolved through centuries of experience and have proven their durability over the past hundred years; however, their preservation has now become essential. The sustainable restoration of historic buildings can only be achieved through an integrated architectural and technical approach. Interventions must be designed to meet contemporary functional and comfort requirements while respecting the original architectural character and material authenticity. This study examines the structural aspects of the Körmendy House reconstruction, with particular attention to the technical solutions and application framework for the renovation of ground-level structures.
